First risk: none of this is real
AVORA is a demonstration project. It holds no banking licence, is authorised by no regulator, takes no deposits and sells nothing. This document is written to show the shape and tone such a document takes, and creates no rights or obligations for anyone.
The greatest risk on this site is mistaking it for a service. Do not enter real credentials, do not attempt to send money, and do not make a financial decision on anything written here.
Currency
Holding a balance in a currency exposes you to that currency's movement. A balance can lose value in your home currency without any fee being charged and without you doing anything. Conversion cost is visible; currency movement is usually larger and is not.
Crypto
Crypto assets are volatile, are not covered by deposit guarantee schemes anywhere, and can lose most of their value quickly and permanently. Converting an asset to spend it realises whatever it is worth at that moment, which may be far less than you paid.
Investments
Investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you put in. Past performance does not indicate future results. A net-of-fees figure is more honest than a gross one, but it is still history.
Availability
Any digital service can be unavailable — outage, maintenance, a lost or broken phone, a suspended account pending a fraud review. A payment method with no offline fallback is a single point of failure, and it is worth carrying a second one.
