What this site is, what it is not, and what you may do with it.

This is a demonstration

AVORA is a demonstration project. It holds no banking licence, is authorised by no regulator, takes no deposits and sells nothing. This document is written to show the shape and tone such a document takes, and creates no rights or obligations for anyone.

Every product on this site is fictional. The cards cannot be ordered, the plans cannot be bought, the balances are invented, and the awards were made up for the purpose of showing a layout. No agreement you could enter into exists here.

No financial advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing on it should inform a real financial decision. Rates, fees and figures are illustrative numbers chosen to look plausible in a layout — they are not quotes, offers or forecasts.

Accounts and sign-in

This changed, and the document had to change with it. Accounts are now real: a password is checked against an argon2 hash held on the server, there is a second factor, and the session is a cookie the server issues and can revoke. What is not real is the money.

Even so, do not use a password here that you use anywhere else. Not because we expect it to leak, but because reusing a password on a demonstration project is precisely the habit that does damage the day some other site does leak.

What you can do inside

A customer account can move balance between accounts on the platform, request a withdrawal or a transfer, convert currencies, upload identity documents and download its own statements. All of that genuinely happens, in this project's database and ledger.

None of it reaches the financial system. No payment rail is connected: a withdrawal or a transfer to an outside IBAN is recorded and held, and the money arrives at no bank because there is no bank at the other end.

Using this site

You may browse it, inspect it and learn from it. You may not present it as a genuine financial institution to anybody, use it to solicit money, or deploy it in a way that could lead a person to believe they are banking with a real firm.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It holds no real money: balances are figures in a demonstration database and do not represent funds anybody can claim. Any reliance you place on it anyway is your own.
